Using SLM to print Cellular Structures for medical implants

Replacement dog jaw bone fabricated using Ti64 alloy by TiDA and successfully surgically implanted in a large boxer dog with bone cancer.

Using SLM to print a precise pore array gives control over the engineering parameters of the implant. The pore array also determines the extent of tissue or bone intergrowth with the implant.
